The new parents had missed the 42 day deadline for registering the birth of their child.
There had been several failed attempted at registering the birth, as Steven was unable to attend the appointments and he needed to be present in order to have his name on the birth certificate.
Browns supported the parents with:
- Explaining the law and possible consequences of failing to register their child’s birth.
- Working with the relevant department to reschedule the appointment.
- The couple were sent reminders and informed about what the registration process included.
