We have over 25 volunteers working across Browns Services. Our volunteers undertake an intense training programme, before starting their role when working with client our volunteers have an enhance DBS check as well as training in areas such as Safeguarded and Prevent training.
We pick the best volunteers to support our clients and are a crossed section of society, from retired practice nurses, HR managers, criminology and psychology students and peer volunteers
Elisabetha joined Browns in April 2016. She currently volunteers on our 4Es course and delivers one-to-one support work. Elisabetha is in her 2nd year studying Criminology at Royal Holloway University.
Hannah Korpez joined Browns in August 2016 and works as part of our reading project as a Volunteer Advice and Support Mentor. Hannah is currently studying Maths at Reading University and has volunteered with other organisations to support vulnerable adults.
Phil joined Browns in August 2016 to offer IT support and mentoring to our clients. Phil is well known in the area for his IT groups and works in group sessions and one to one with clients to develop basic IT proficiency.
Freya joined Browns in November 2016 to work on developing Browns Social Media presence. Freya is a 3rd year Psychology student at Royal Holloway and is looking to study for a Masters in Criminal and Forensic Psychology.
Hannah Bowley joined Browns in January 2017 as a Bid Writer and to work on developing Browns Social Media presence. Hannah is currently studying for a Masters Degree in International Development at the University of Reading, and is passionate about enacting social change through empowering individuals and reducing inequality.
Elzbieta joined Browns in January 2017 as a Volunteer Advice and Support Mentor. Elzbieta is interested in promoting community cohesion for all individuals, and is currently in her 2nd year studying Clinical Psychology and Mental Health at Royal Holloway University.
